In September 2019 is op de Tweede Hugo de Grootstraat in Amsterdam, Wijs “Fysiotherapie en gym” geopend. Wijs is een gezellige snelgroeiende fysio praktijk met ondersteuning van meerdere disciplines zoals personal trainers, massagetherapie en accupunctuur. Onze visie is onze cliënten op natuurlijke wijze een gezond lichaam en een gezonde geest te laten bereiken, zodat zij van pijn of beperkingen af kunnen komen en (sportieve) doelen kunnen behalen.
Wijs heeft een gevarieerde samenstelling in zowel leeftijd specialisatie en herkomst. Dit geldt zowel voor het team als voor de cliënten die bij de praktijk komen. Zo bestaat het team op dit moment uit tien therapeuten uit zeven verschillende landen van herkomst. De patiëntenpopulatie is 50/50 Nederlands en Engelstalig en heeft een leeftijd variërend van 25 tot 65 jaar oud, hier zitten natuurlijk altijd uitschieters bij.
Wij nog op zoek naar een Manueeltherapeut(e)(i.o) (v 24-40 uur per week) die ons team willen komen versterken met affiniteit rond hoofdpijn en nek problematiek en samen met Gijs als orofaciaal therapeut verder wil werken aan behandeling rond hoofdpijn problematieken.
Als fysio/manueeltherapeut bij Wijs kom je in een omgeving te werken waar we de volgende kern waarde hebben: Connection, Well being, Knowledge and challenge en het team altijd voorop staan. Zo is er maandelijks een gezamenlijke scholing met zowel interne als externe sprekers zoals uitjes naar de VU voor anatomie les. Ook is er elke kwartaal een team event met leuke uitjes zoals klimmen, varen of ergens eten. Verder is per jaar budget voor persoonlijke ontwikkeling zoals cursussen volgen zowel binnen als buiten de fysiotherapie en we werken toe naar specifieke expertises per werknemer. Zo werken er nu fysio’s met specialisatie zwangerschap, osteopathie, pilates sport- en orofaciale therapie.
De werkzaamheden als fysiotherapeut doe je samen met het gehele team, bij de start kan je ook vrij meelopen met alle collega’s om zo de verschillen en de gelijkenissen van de werkwijzen binnen Wijs te leren kennen. Werkdagen in overleg waarbij flexibiliteit een pre is. Er zal ook aanspraak worden gemaakt op 1 weekend dag. De salaris is bespreekbaar in zowel vast dienstverband, percentage of zzp construct.
Bij Wijs zoeken we een enthousiaste, ondernemende fysio/manueeltherapeut, op zoek naar een uitdaging om samen verder te bouwen aan de praktijk.

Wijs is a cozy, fast-growing physio practice with support from multiple disciplines such as personal trainers, massage therapy and acupuncture. Our vision is for our clients to naturally achieve a healthy body and mind, so they can get rid of pain or limitations and achieve (athletic) goals.
Wijs has a diverse composition in both age specialization and origin. This applies to both the team and the clients who come to the practice. For example, the team currently consists of ten therapists from seven different countries of origin. The patient population is 50/50 Dutch and English speaking and has an age ranging from 25 to 65 years old, which of course always includes outliers.
We are still looking for a Manual Therapist (24-40 hours per week) to join our team with an affinity for headache and neck problems and who wants to work together with Gijs as an orofacial therapist on the treatment of headache problems.
As a physical/manual therapist at Wise you will be working in an environment where we have the following core values: Connection, Well being, Knowledge and challenge and the team always comes first. For example, there is monthly joint training with both internal and external speakers such as outings to the VU for anatomy class. There is also a quarterly team event with fun outings such as climbing, boating or eating somewhere. There is also an annual budget for personal development such as taking courses both inside and outside physical therapy and we work towards specific areas of expertise per employee. Thus there are now working physios with specialization in pregnancy, osteopathy, pilates sports and orofacial therapy.
The work as a physiotherapist is done together with the entire team, at the start you can also freely walk along with all colleagues to get to know the differences and similarities of the working methods within Wijs. Working days by arrangement where flexibility is a plus. There will also be a claim for 1 weekend day. Salary is negotiable in either permanent employment, percentage or self-employed construct.

Een manueeltherapeut is een gespecialiseerde fysiotherapeut die zich richt op het diagnosticeren en behandelen van aandoeningen van het bewegingsapparaat, met name de wervelkolom en gewrichten. Manueeltherapeuten gebruiken hun handen om gewrichten te mobiliseren en blokkades te verhelpen.
